About us
We are two dynamic women who consciously decided to quit our stable jobs to realign our careers to our values and passions. It was a long and sometimes painful journey, but we learnt a lot, and finally succeeded to pivot. Now we want to help you do the same!
With Work Ally, we want to empower women to become more conscious and strategic about their professional progress and to provide them with a safe space to openly talk about their work.
Magda Kufrej
I’m a facilitator, a communication expert and an agile coach with a passion for gender equality. Over the last 10 years, I worked as a reporter, in the EU institutions, in a startup and currently in a non-profit with a focus on sustainability. In my career, there were times where I felt lost and frustrated, I lacked support and a clear vision on what I really wanted to do professionally to reach my full potential. That’s where the idea of this community first came from. As a co-founder of Work Ally, I want to empower women to come together, learn from each other how to kick ass and then get the careers they deserve!

Gail Rego
I’m a digital rights and inclusion activist with a decade of experience in communication and community building roles in countries like the UAE, Colombia, Austria, Kenya, and Belgium. My interests meet at the intersection of community, reflection and impact. My passion projects include podcast narration, learning about prison abolition, growing plants and of course helping young women become authentic, bold and unstoppable through our Work Ally community.
